Home Reboot

I'm not much of an interior designer. I like many looks and styles of things but my execution skills are greatly lacking. And it takes a lot of attention. Which requires time. Which I have growing on trees....
But lately I have noticed the neglect in my house and realize it's time for some updates. Home catalogs come in the mail with some pretty convincing styles but nothing inspires me more than Interface Flor. That is what I want my home to be like.
So, for starters... I wanted some Wegner style chairs and found one close enough locally in Vegas. Now I just have to recover the seat in something hot. Not hot hot like naughty animal fur, I mean hot as in houndstooth or something. Ideas? And not a week later as we visit my fam for the fourth, I walk into the RS room at church to see a room FULL of similar chairs. I'll take them all!
(This is why you take your iPhone to church)

Those are totally the Relief Society that are or were in my parents church. I never thought of them as being cool chairs when I was young and went to that building. It would be really cool to get a few of those chairs now that I have a better appreciation for good furniture. I think a cool plaid or hounds tooth would look lovely on that chair.

Very cool RS chairs, but notice the details on your chair? See how the pad is a little more sculpted and sits a bit forward on the wood base? Plus it's got a slimmer silhouette and the piped edge (which could be a great feature, depending on your 'hot' fabric!). Also, the arms are in one piece and the back leg projects from higher on the frame. Both have great lines, but I like yours the best. I like the hounds tooth idea best, something with some movement but not too wild to take away from the whole presentation. Woohoo! See? You're a genius! XO

You need a bold fabric for those clean lines. Try this site: http://quadrillefabrics.com/chinaseas.html

love the chair

I love reading your blog. I check it out all the time hoping for new posts!

I hope you don’t mind --- I’ve been telling all my friends about your blog.

I printed 100 free business cards with my 10 favorite websites (yours was #1!!) and handed them out at our last Mommy Meet-up.

It made me wonder if you had ever done that for yourself? Do you ever meet anyone at a coffeeshop or a playground and start talking about blogging? Maybe you could print up some cards to hand out. Just an idea!

In return for inspiring me, I wanted to pass on these money saving tips to you:
-- 100 Free business cards at www.RedTagPrintSale.com

In case you decide to get something else printed from them (besides the FREE business cards!) I also wanted to tell you about their unlimited use promo code - it never expires and you can use it again and again:
-- 10% off promo code “RTPS10”

FYI: I’ve used this company to print fliers and signs for Church events and even yard sales. The quality is really good compared to what I’ve gotten from VistaPrint and others that offer FREE business cards.

I hope you have a great week. I’ll be checking back soon. Bye!

i had a good chuckle over that last comment. i always take pics on my phone at church and i feel so guilty for it.

maybe you should request a makeover for your RS chairs so that the elderly have an easier time getting in and out. and then stalk the DI these are sent out to. ha ha!
