Field Day

Elliet had Field Day yesterday. Field Day is so fun. Why do we have to grow out of these? Why do adults have the Farmers Market and kids have field day? I want to do the bean bag toss and water relay, too!
The weather was perfectly calm and beautiful.
The big fluffy clouds,
the fun music,
the loud laughs among classmates,
the active games,
the interesting hair tail growing down a young boys back,
getting SOAKED with water over and over,
cotton candy and ice pops
made a fun day for this little girl.

Mazy Cray

I think this is the longest I have gone without posting. And it will still be brief. May is always NUTS. My planner is stacked with scribbles of things going on every day up to Mem. Weekend but with the usual things of life. Helping at school, church stuff, programs, meetings, appointments, soccer, etc. Amid all this Elliet lost another tooth, Luke and Scott had the Father/Sons campout and I have gutted, seriously gutted my office/studio room. It felt so good to go through every drawer, every shelf and face the fact that I will never do some of those old good intentions. I filled a COUCH with all my cast offs. I'm a pack rat no more (according to this room anyway). This stemmed from a decision to do something creative once a week, which I started, but then couldn't do any more until I organized my madness. What I do will rejuvinate the purpose of my Academe blog but I'll have to post those efforts later. I took a huge Tshirt gifted to Scott and altered it to fit me. I'll have the step by steps and everything. It was easier than I thought! So snatch up that weird vintage T cuz I'll show you how to make it fit soon. Anyway, blah blah blah....
With each kid in soccer we are camped out on the field every Sat. morning. Hooray for cell phone games to ease the boredom. Nothing like technology to help you endure the outdoors (ha!). We have had fantastic weather though so I've loved that.
These pics above are from a night at the park where Luke, Elliet and I all rode around on bikes for a while. Two down, one to go! I only have Sadie left to train. It's been so fun to cruise around with them.
Time to go run more errands, make cupcakes and cookies for school and church activities, gather costumes for the kinder program and get some bday presents for my main man.

Happy Mothers Day!

Hope you all had an awesome Mothers Day. For me they are ordinary.
Apart from special handwritten notes like this one.

I found this earlier in the week. Maybe this is why my kids don't do much.... I discover their true feelings!
(I think this was done when Sadie was in a time out)
